My Cousins Need To Come To Pittsburgh

Kirk Cousins and the Washington Redskins might be fourth place at the end of the 2017 season because the Giants, Cowboys and Eagles just seem to get stronger. Kirk is getting paid $23,943,600 this season and is eligible to be a free agent in 2018. He lost both of his weapons DeSean Jackson and Pierre Garçon this offseason. If the Redskins don't have a winning record this season it might be bye bye bye for Kirk in Washington.

Now let's travel to Pittsburgh for a minute. We all know that Ben Roethlisberger was thinking about retirement which meant the Steelers would have needed a replacement for Big Ben but he decided not to. But if he decides to retire in 2018 who would be the Steelers quarterback? I'm sorry to tell the Steelers fan this but Landry Jones is not the answer at all because it's just hard to trust him cause he hasn't done good in the games he has started.

It would be amazing if the Steelers could find a way to make Josh Dobbs a star if Big Ben retires in 2018 but we're not sure how he'll play in the NFL. In 2018 if Big Ben decides to retire the Steelers should go after Kirk Cousins. In 2018 if the Redskins don't have a winning record he should leave Washington and see if the Steelers are interested in him.

If Kirk leaves Washington in 2018 Pittsburgh would be a dream team to play for. Big Ben is getting paid $21,850,000 by the Steelers for next season and Kirk is getting paid $23,943,600 by the Redskins for next season. Their both getting paid almost the same amount of money. Kirk is about to turn 29 years old and should be entering his prime. Kirk would probably want at least maybe $24 million if he wanted to play for the Steelers next year if Ben decides to retire.

If Kirk would move to Pittsburgh he would have a chance to throw to one of the best wide receivers in the game in Antonio Brown and be on a team with a defense that keeps getting better. To be honest I wouldn't mind to see Le'veon Bell leave in 2018 only if Big Ben decides to retire because the Steelers still have James Conner the star from Pitt and I have a lot of confidence in him. In this NFL it seems easier to find a good starting running back then a good starting quarterback. In 2018 I would rather have Kirk, James Conner, Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant starting for the Steelers in 2018 than Landry Jones or Josh Dobbs, Bell, AB and Bryant.

But hopefully the Steelers will do really well and maybe win a Super Bowl and then maybe Ben will decide not to retire in 2018 and give Le'veon his money next offseason. But if Ben does retire in 2018 Kirk Cousins would not be a bad option. Just think about it.
