Captain Thomas To The Rescue

It was sometime in late December 2016 during the holiday break that Zach Thomas had a meeting with former Whalers Captain Joe Bambraugh about the Whalers for next year. The meeting happened at Kings Restaurant in Heidelberg.

Joe Bambraugh asked Zach Thomas if he would be interested in being Captain for the Whalers next year and he said yes. Zach Thomas graduated from Our Lady Of Grace in 2014 and is about to graduate from Chartiers Valley in 2018. He currently plays football and is on the track team for Char Valley.

Joe Bambraugh was smart in asking Zach Thomas (aka ZT) to be Captain because this past CVSHL year Joe's team has been known as one of the most hated teams in the league not because they were good but because of how Joe was commissioner, how he only seemed to make sure his Whalers would be alright and not the other teams in the league and how he constantl trash talked other CVSHL teams like The Oak Trees and The Collier Coyotes on a daily basis.

Joe did a good job in convincing ZT to become Captain for the Whalers because now the Whalers have a chance to become popular. Everybody that knows Zach Thomas knows that he is a nice guy and would never try to screw anbody over and he seems like the right man to give the Whalers their reputation back. ZT can make this Birdland Whaler team one of the most popular again with his charm and his way to get people to like him.

Former Birdland Whalers Brandon McDermott and Evan Kraus also did a good job making sure the Whalers reputation was not completely ruined by backing up Joe Bambraugh in the process.

But with ZT making all the decisions for the Whalers this team is looking to be better than ever as they try to win their 2nd Championship this year after not being able to play in the Finals last year due to not being able to schedule a game with the Collier Cargo Shorts.
