Zeke's Team Will Be Fine

Ezekiel Elliott has been accused of domestic violence as his ex-girlfriend says he abused her. The NFL heard all about the incident and they suspended Elliott for six games. Their is no doubt that if Ezekiel Elliott does not get his suspension appealed that it will hurt the Cowboys as he'll have to miss the first six games of the this NFL season.

It will hurt if he does not play for the first six games because he is a flat out beast as the Cowboys running back. He is very good in knowing how to change directions running with the football and he is very good at able to fight off tackles when he leans with his shoulder to fight off defenders.

The Cowboys though have two good running backs that know how to start games for NFL teams and make an impact. Those running backs would be Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris. Darren McFadden was a starter in Oakland from 2008-2014 and he also rushed for 1,089 yards in his first year in Dallas in 2015. Alfred Morris was a starter in Washington from 2012-2015 and started all 16 games in those four seasons. Out of those four years Alfred played for Washington three of those seasons he was able to rush for over 1,000 yards. So the Cowboys do not need to shop for another running back because they have two running backs that can help the Cowboys out.

Their defense is still pretty good even with the addition of Nolan Carroll this past offseason and the Cowboys still have one of the best offensive lines in the NFL. Let's not forget the Cowboys still have their quarterback who just won Rookie of the Year last year in Dak Prescott and an elite wide receiver named Dez Bryant.

So let's break down the Cowboys first six games of the year and how they might do without Ezekiel Elliott.

Week 1: vs. New York Giants

The Giants have gotten so strong on offense and defense that even if Elliott played I don't think they would've beat the Giants. Without Elliott that gives the Giants a better chance of winning.

Week 2: @ Denver Broncos

Denver always seems good at home but the Cowboys can win this game without Elliott because I can sense that the Cowboys defense will find a way to stop Trevor Siemian and that Dez Bryant will have his way over Chris Harris Jr. or Aqib Talib

Week 3: @ Arizona Cardinals

Dallas can win easily over the Cardinals without Elliott because Dallas just seems stronger on both sides of the field.

Week 4: vs. Los Angeles Rams

Even without Elliott Dallas will especially beat the struggling Rams as we still don't know if Jared Goff can play at a high level in the NFL. Todd Gurley ll can still run over the Dallas defense but it won't matter because Dak can pass over the Rams defense and destroy them more than Gurley can destroy the Dallas defense

Week 5: vs. Green Bay Packers

This game is a 50/50 for the Cowboys without Elliott. They are playing against one of the NFL's best quarterbacks in Aaron Rodgers but I can't really tell you who would win because everytime the Cowboys and Packers play against each other it's always tight.

Week 6: @ San Francisco 49ers

Cowboys can beat the 49ers cause I don't think Brian Hoyer can handle the Cowboys defense as Brian is dealing with a whole new atmosphere in San Francisco and the rest of the team just doesn't look like they can beat an elite team yet.

At worst I can see the Cowboys going 4-2 without Elliott and once he comes back they'll become stronger and have a much closer race against the Giants for the NFC East crown.
