Buffalo Has To Take A Timeout For A While
Can we all agree that the Buffalo Bills are a meme team? On August 8th everything looked well for the Buffalo Bills. They have a decent quarterback in Tyrod Taylor, they had one of the best running backs in LeSean McCoy, and had two very good wide receivers in Sammy Watkins and Anquan Boldin. Now all of a sudden things have changed.
On August 11th the Bills traded a star wide receiver in Sammy Watkins to the Los Angeles Rams for a defensive back that still needs to get better in E.J. Gaines. The Bills also that same day traded one of their best defensive backs in Ronald Darby to the Philadelphia Eagles for wide receiver Jordan Matthews.
Now just today the Bills wide receiver Anquan Boldin announced that he was retiring saying that "his life's purpose is bigger than football" and he intended to focus on humanitarian work.
The Buffalo Bills have never really made sense in the decisions they make in their front office. Remember last year when the Bills gave up 50 points in the first two games against the Ravens and Jets but scored 38 points in the first two games. Well instead of firing their defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman they fired their offensive coordinator Greg Roman. Still to this day that was one of the stupidest firings I ever heard of.
Jordan Matthews and Rod Streater both of the Bills Wide receiver are injured right now and their depth is getting shorter.
I actually thought this team had a chance in making the playoffs this year but now they don't especially now with Anquan Boldin retiring. The Bills also regretted when they traded Marshawn Lynch to the Buffalo Bills in 2010 as he would do well in Seattle and rush for over 1,000 yards in each of the next four seasons.
It also still shocks me to this day the back in the 1990s that the Buffalo Bills went to four straight Super Bowls (1990-1993) and couldn't win one of them. Buffalo needs to start thinking about the decisions they make because as of right now this team is not making the next step to become better.
