Kizer To The Rescue

DeShone Kizer is one of the quarterbacks on the Browns roster that is trying to get the starting job. Everybody in Cleveland is impressed of what DeShone has done this preseason as he is the only quarterback for the Browns this season that has scored a touchdown.

For the past 14 seasons the Cleveland Browns have been in a rebuild mode. The Browns had only one season in which they were over .500 in the past 14 seasons and that happened in 2007 the Browns when they went 10-6 and didn't make the playoffs because the AFC was so stacked in 2007.

The Browns have tried many quarterbacks during the past 14 seasons and couldn't find their franchise quarterback. If you have listened to the people and media in Cleveland you can tell that they want DeShone to start. I really want to see what DeShone can do with the assets around him. I think DeShone will make use of the strong arm he has and make all the throws he has to make the Browns a good team.

Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson has let DeShone play a good amount in the first two preseason games as he is the only Browns quarterback this preseason with over 25 passing attempts. DeShone has had 31 passing attempts and Brock Osweiler is behind with 22 passing attempts. Brock Osweiler has thrown an interception this preseason and DeShone has not.

The Browns are definitely not letting Kevin Hogan start because he hasn't been in the preseason at all except for that one passing attempt he had yesterday against the New York Giants. At this point I would let Cody Kessler be the number two quarterback for the Browns and I would let Brock Osweiler be the third string quarterback.

Some starting quarterbacks that are drafted in the middle seem to do good because they know that no one is going to pay much attention to them so they decide to play the way they want to play and make sure the way they are playing is good enough to win. Quarterbacks like Tom Brady, Russell Wilson and Dak Prescott are some of the good quarterbacks that were not drafted so high and were able to do good because they weren't being paid a lot of attention when they first started. I feel that DeShone Kizer will be the next quarterback that makes a big impact for his team after not being drafted so high and not being paid a lot of attention to.

The Browns are in a rebuild mode still and I would let DeShone start because of how well he has played in the first two preseason games this season and how he is very popular.
