DeAndre Is Making It Rain
It has not been fun for the city of Houston lately with Hurricane Harvey coming into the city and destroying all the houses causing people to have to go somewhere else but their is something positive that happened in Houston today and that is that Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins agreed to a new 5-Year, $81M Contract.
We all knew sooner or later that DeAndre was going to get paid the money he deserved but it's great he signed it now because he will now feel more important to the Texans as he realizes that he is the face and franchise for the Texans.
The Texans have been to the playoffs the last two seasons and DeAndre was a big part for the Texans getting into the playoffs. DeAndre is so good when it comes to catching balls that seem impossible that a normal wide receiver cannot actually catch.
No matter who the quarterback is for the Texans DeAndre still always play good which is what a very good wide receiver does. Like think about all the quarterbacks that DeAndre has had to play with over the years like Brian Hoyer, Brandon Weeden, Brock Osweiler, Case Keenum, Matt Schaub and T.J. Yates. When ever those quarterbacks were playing in Houston they were not good and now DeAndre is playing with another not that good quarterback in Tom Savage.
Now imagine if DeAndre Hopkins played with a good quarterback that can actually lead a team to the Super Bowl. Yeah DeAndre might be the BEST wide receiver in the league if he had a good quarterback. If the best of the best wide receivers like Odell Beckham Jr., Antonio Brown, Julio Jones and AJ Green didn't play with their elite quarterbacks would they really be good?
DeAndre is getting the money he deserves and perhaps he'll donate some of that money to the people who have lost their houses due to Hurricane Harvey in Houston.
