The Steel Curtain Can Come Back If....

So just today the Denver Broncos released their star Safety TJ Ward. TJ Ward is a three time Pro Bowler and won a Super Bowl with the Broncos in Super Bowl 50.

The Broncos needed to make some cap room for the future and they thought releasing TJ Ward would save them some money. John Elway did wish TJ the best of luck for his future.

TJ Ward can still be starting safety for any on the NFL teams but their is a specific team that should go after Ward and that is the Pittsburgh Steelers. It's great that the Steelers signed former Browns cornerback Joe Haden but if the Steelers want to make their defense elite again and be one of the top 10 defenses in the NFL they have to try go after TJ Ward and bring him to the Steelers. TJ Ward and Joe Haden have played with each other in Cleveland and maybe they will play good together in Pittsburgh.

I'm sorry to tell Steelers nation this but I don't actually think that Mike Mitchell and Jordan Dangerfield are good enough to help the Steelers win. The Steelers need someone who knows how to win games in the secondary and TJ Ward is that guy. TJ Ward was able to defeat the Patriots in the 2016 AFC Championship Game and if you look at the safetys or the Steelers their is no way any of them could stop the Patriots wide receivers and tight ends like Rob Gronkowski, Danny Amendola, Brandin Cooks and Chris Hogan.

The Steelers don't have to spend boat loads of money for Ward and the Steelers and Ward can work a deal out so everybody is happy. If the Steelers can't find a way to win the Super Bowl this year, they might not be able to win one for years to come.
