Let Me Think About It

Alright so I see why Cam Newton and The Carolina Panthers are happy right now as the regular season as come to an end. They are happy because they are 11-5 and going to go back to the playoffs after missing the playoffs last season with a 6-10 record. But their is no way this Panthers team we are seeing right now is going to go far in the playoffs not at all.

The only win the Carolina Panthers can be proud with is when they went to New England in Week 4 and won 33-30. But besides that all their wins against all the other teams are not realliy impressive to me. When the Panthers beat the Bills in Week 2 it was the Bills Wide Receiver Zay Jones who lost the game for the Bills when he dropped that pass on 4th down with less than 10 seconds left. Zay should've caught that and score and get the Bills the W but that wasn't case. The Panthers beat the Bills 9-3 and that win wasn't really impressive as they needed Graham Gano to show up which he did. The Panthers actually should've lost to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9 but they didn't because Julio Jones dropped the ball in the end zone in the middle of the fourth quarter which would've helped the Falcons. I'm telling you all if Julio caught that ball the momentum would've changed and the Falcons would have that game.

Oh wow the Panthers beat the 49ers in Week 1. That's a very great win. You definitely could tell the Panthers have a Super Bowl contender team with that win. Like get the heck out of here. The 49ers had Brian Hoyer start for them like Brian Hoyer is not Jimmy Garopollo.

The Panthers barely were able to beat the Detroit Lions in Week 5, barely and I mean barely were able to defeat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 16 and barely beat the Jets in Week 12.

The fact that the Panthers couldn't beat the Saints during the regular season is not a good sign at all since the Panthers have to travel to New Orleans for the NFC Wild Card game. The Panthers could not beat the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17 and they could not beat the Philadelphia Eagles at home. But you know what I was impressed when the Panthers defeated the Vikings at home in Week 14. But I was not really surprised that they beat the Green Bay Packers because I should've known better that Aaron Rodgers was rusty and would not be THE AARON RODGERS that is healthy, is clutch and never gives up.

Believe it or not after the Panthers traded their star wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin away they still managed to win games which was unreal. Even though the Panthers are inconsistent I do have to admit however that their defense is not bad at all. The defense is good enough to give Cam Newton, Devin Funchess and Christian McCaffery a chance to put the points up they need to try and win games.

I would love to see the Panthers do well in the playoffs but the fact they have been inconsistent, they haven't really beaten that much good teams, their going into a very loud Superdome, the fact that their best wide receiver is Devin Funchess, the fact that Cam Newton is the most inconsistent QB in the game right now and the fact that all the Panthers offense consists of is running is really hard to make myself think this team could go far in the playoffs but if they could find the way to get to the conference championship game that would be awesome. This next week of practice for the Panthers is crucial and if they want to go to the next round.
