Chartiers Valley Athlete: Tyler Coleman

CV Varsity Bowling Captain Senior Tyler Coleman has proved this bowling season that he was going to do whatever it takes to win each and every match and not give up. This was Tyler’s third season bowling and bowled Varsity all three years. Tyler’s Chartiers Valley bowling career came to an end on Friday March 9th 2017 as he bowled in the WPIBL Western Regional Boys Singles Championship for the final time in his career. Tyler bowled a 676 in 6 games that he bowled on Friday and that was not good enough to move onto the Boys Single state finals. The Colts Varsity Boys Bowling team did not advance to the WPIBL Western Regionals Boys Team Championship so in order for Tyler to have kept on bowling this year he would have needed to do well in the singles events. Tyler had a good bowling season altogether as he bowled an average of 187.17 which was fourth in the Southwest section and was the best on the Colts Varsity Boys bowling team. Tyler’s athletic career however is not over ta Chartiers Valley as he will continue playing baseball for the team. Tyler has lettered in three sports as he letters in baseball, bowling and golf. The fact that Tyler plays three sports at the Varsity level and gets good grades is really impressive as many students could not do that. Tyler shows good leadership and is a good role model to the younger athletes at CV. Tyler perhaps might even join the Bowling team at Ohio State so we’ll see if he can continue his bowling career in college.
