Another WPIAL Sport At Chartiers Valley?

The badminton unit is wrapping up for Physical Education this school year as next thing the Phys Ed classes will do is play volleyball. When the gym teachers told us students that it made me start to think that the high school should try to get a Boys Volleyball team. After watching the Holiday Volleyball tournaments for three years I have noticed that there are some very good boys that I think have the capability to play high school volleyball because of their height, their skills on the volleyball court and the good sportsmanship and fun they have. A lot of the games this holiday volleyball tournament have been really close cause of the teams were competitive. All the teams were probably good because they all know each other and know how to play together as each player on the team has a certain way of helping the team win. The WPIAL Boys Volleyball season is about to begin later this month and Chartiers Valley will once again not have a team.

I have noticed as well some boys come down to the gym during their lunch time and study hall and ask the gym teachers if they could stay in the gym and play volleyball which shows how much those students love the sport. If their actually was a Boys Volleyball team at CV they would probably be in Section 1 of Class 3A because all those schools in that section seem close to CV like Baldwin, Bethel Park, Moon, Peters Twp. and Upper St. Clair. It’s harder than people would think to create a new high school sports team in the WPIAL and PIAA but I feel like if CV worked hard enough it could happen because CV can find a way to get anything done cause they have done it before with building the new middle school and high school.
