Maybe If They Had 1 More Player

Yesterday the Toronto Raptors lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals and the Philadelphia 76ers lost to the Boston Celtics in game 3 of the other Eastern Conference semifinals matchup. With both the Raptors and 76ers down in there series 3-0 it looks like they will both be eliminated as no team in the NBA as ever come back to win a playoff series after being down 3-0.

I did not think the Boston Celtics would go this far with the absence of Kyrie Irving. What you got to like about the Celtics is that everybody is making an impact and they do not a player on their team to score 25 or more points to win a game. They know that if every player they put on the court gets at least 10 points and do a good job passing the ball and rebounding they will be fine. We see that the 76ers are still a year away from being a very great NBA team and that's fine. The fact that the 76ers were third in the East this year was fantastic and the fact that they even made the playoffs this year shows that this team is heading in the right direction. I feel if this team has one more star on their team the 76ers will have a very possible chance of making the NBA Finals next season and years to come.

The Raptors just cannot beat the Cleveland Cavaliers in the postseason. For some reason I guess when the Raptors see LeBron James they just panic and don't play the same as they do against every other team. Like honestly if the Raptors never had to face the Cavaliers in the playoffs in the past three years they made have made it to the NBA Finals. I'm pretty sure after LeBron made that game winning shot yesterday the Raptors finally realized that there is nothing they can really do to beat this man. Like the Raptors were down by 15-18 points throughout the whole first three quarters and then all of a sudden they stormed in the fourth quarter and started making almost every shot. Then in the final eight seconds of the game LeBron had the ball and just decided to make another game winning shot to give the Cavaliers a 3-0 series lead. I mean I think the defense that Raptors player OG Anunoby had on LeBron in those final seconds were very good because I felt that if OG was guarding him even tighter he made have made contact LeBron which would have been a foul and LeBron would then go to the foul line and the Raptors definitely would have not wanted to see LeBron shoot free throws. Like the Raptors current roster can definitely compete with the Cavs it's just they can't win. The Raptors lost to the Cavs in Game 1 by 1 point in overtime and lost Game 3 yesterday by 2 points. Maybe if the Raptors had one more All-Star on their team they beat LeBron James but a lot of money would have to be paid for that player to come to Toronto and Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan are already getting paid a lot so I don't see that happening.

It would be pretty cool to see the 76ers or Raptors win 4 straight games and win their series after being down 3-0 but I don't think that will happen. I think we all should look forward to the Eastern Conference rematch between the Celtics and Cavs to see if there will be a new team from the East going to the Finals in the Celtics instead of the Raptors.
