Kevin Durant's Move To Golden State Was For The Best

Ever since Kevin Durant left Oklahoma City in 2016, all he has done is win more NBA basketball games and has won two NBA championships.

People from the media, NBA fans and some people that I know personally did not like Durant moving to Golden State at all. Kevin Durant has been referred to as "A snake" because of how he joined the NBA team that defeated him in the 2016 Western Conference Finals in the Golden State Warriors.

Kevin Durant's popularity sky-rocketed after he joined the Warriors and he has to be enjoying every second of it. I think NBA fans got more upset at Kevin Durant (KD) leaving Oklahoma City then LeBron James leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2010. I wish I had stats of how many Twitter followers and Instagram followers Durant had before, when he was in Oklahoma City, and how many he has now as a member of Golden State. I bet his followers for both social media platforms increase a whole lot.

Kevin Durant did not hurt his family in any way throughout his whole journey in Golden State so everybody in the whole entire world should not care what he does in his life except for himself.

What I am really trying to say is that Kevin Durant is not a snake and he did not betray anybody. Durant participates in a professional sports league where player mobility wants to be noticed. It's great that Durant had the opportunity to leave OKC when he had the chance because it would have been awful if in the 2016-17 NBA season if he was still in OKC and he wanted to be traded because of the fact that him and Russell Westbrook could not get along. When a professional sports player moves from one franchise to another franchise that makes the player more popular and that makes the player more hated. When people are hated they become popular. Sometimes it could be for a good reason but sometimes it could also be for a bad reason. The fact that Durant made people hate him by signing a contract with a different NBA team and not literally hurting anyone physically or verbally has only made him a stronger player and a player that good Samaritans can actually respect.

According to Spotrac Kevin Durant is supposed to make $30 million next season and he is getting paid more money in Golden State then he did Oklahoma City. If you ever seen an interview that Durant's mom, Wanda Durant, has been involved of, you could see that she is a strong women and that all she did, when Durant was a child, was teach him how to be a strong person mentally and how he should do what makes him happy and not let other people influence him to do something that does not make him happy.

If you are Kevin Durant, there is no way in the name of Davy Jones locker that you would leave Golden State anytime soon because Durant has the capability of turning that Warriors team to a dynasty and has the chance to make this Warriors team considered to be one of the best NBA basketball teams that ever existed.

If you read the news in the basketball world lately, you probably have heard that Kevin Durant told CJ McCollum on CJ's podcast that the Trail Blazers basically did not have a chance of winning the NBA Finals next year. I do not feel like debating if Durant is actually right or wrong for thinking that but what I took away from what he said was that Durant is going to do anything he can to make sure that there is not another team that takes away an NBA championship away from him.

I believe that Durant said that to CJ to mess with CJ's mind. Like if you are in Durant's situation are you really going to tell another NBA player who plays on another team that "You have a shot in making a deep postseason run"? No you are not going to say that because then that will make the team you are playing for get angry.

Each second Durant is getting more popular because he is not going to let anyone trash talk him and if he has something to say you best believe he is going to say what is on his mind.

We all have to remember that Durant volunteered to take less money so Andre Iguodala could return to the team for the 2017-18 NBA season.

Kevin Durant is not a perfect human being but he has done what he has needed to do to give himself a better life and his mom a better life.
