What We Learned From Each NFL Game In Week 3
Jets-Browns: Well, since Baker Mayfield came off the bench and helped the Browns beat the Jets in Week 3, it is clear to say that he will be the starting quarterback for the Browns for the rest of the season. Unless, Mayfield gets hurt which means that the Browns would have to put Tyrod Taylor in. After this game, I also felt bad for Tyrod Taylor. Tyrod should be the starting quarterback for an NFL team in Week 4; but, sadly he will not start for any team in Week 4. The Browns are Baker's team and I keep telling people that I do not understand why the Browns traded for Tyrod Taylor in the first place. I also keep telling people that Taylor should still be playing for the Buffalo Bills.
Saints-Falcons: If you had Matt Ryan or Drew Brees this week for fantasy, you should be happy because both quarterbacks got at least 40 fantasy points this week. This NFC South rivalry between these two teams are very good and I cannot wait until these two teams play again. How about Calvin Ridley? Calvin scored 3 touchdowns in Week 3 against the Saints. This was the game that should increase Ridley's confidence when he gets onto the football field. Every time Alvin Kamara gets his hands on the football, he always finds a way to make plays that it's ridiculous.
Packers-Redskins: After watching this game, I would not be surprised if the Redskins have a record of 9-7 when the 2018 NFL season ends. Even though Aaron Rodgers lost his first football game of the season, there is a high chance that he will play well in Week 4. The Redskins seem to be a team that will either stomp on you or barely lose.
Colts-Eagles: Carson Wentz gets a slide this week since the Eagles defeated the Colts in Week 3. Wentz was my starting quarterback for Fantasy this week and he put up numbers that I did not like at all. I know that Andrew Luck might not want to hear this but, he need to throw the ball to T.Y. Hilton more. There were a lot of times that Hilton was open and Luck did not throw him the football. The funny thing about the Colts is even though they are currently 1-2, they did not fall down in the standings. I would not be surprised at all if the division winner of the AFC South has a record of 8-8. What I like about the Eagles is that they have players are willing to step up and make plays when their star players are playing badly.
Bills-Vikings: After Josh Allen jumped over that one Vikings defender, I think the Vikings realized that the Bills deserved to win this game. Even though Josh Allen won his first game, I am not on the Allen bandwagon just yet. Even though the Vikings lost against a team they could have beat in the Bills, there is no need to worry because the Vikings have proved to us that they have talent and know what they are doing once they get on the field. It just happened to be Buffalo's way in Week 3.
Raiders-Dolphins: Who would have thought that the fact that Khalil Mack's departure in Oakland would hurt the Oakland Raiders so much? It seems that the Raiders defense does not want to play and does not seem to be excited to play with Mack gone. The Dolphins are currently 3-0 and they are realizing that if they want to win the division, that the time to do it is now. Ryan Tannehill is playing at a level where it is good enough to win games and that is a good sign. With the Dolphins not having Jarvis Landry this season, this gave the team more money to add more receivers that are good and make plays. But, none of them are gifted as Landry though which is fine. If the Dolphins beat New England in Week 4, then we know that this Miami team is for real.
Broncos-Ravens: Case Keenum did not play bad for the Broncos; it's just that the Ravens played a tad bit smarter and a tad bit better game plan. These two teams do not really hate each other; so, this game really was not the most fun to watch. Like, the game was kind of competitive; but, you could find a lot of excuses to say that the game was boring and not worth watching.
Bengals-Panthers: Whenever Cam Newton plays well, it is fun to watch the Carolina Panthers play football. Cam Newton scored a total of 4 touchdowns against Cincinnati and did not turn the football over. Whenever Cam doesn't turn the ball over, the chances of Carolina winning football games increases a whole lot. The Bengals will go through some ups and downs this season; but, I feel they will be competitive for the rest of the season and even be in the conversation of getting into the playoffs as a wild card spot.
Giants-Texans: I am sorry but, the Houston Texans are not well. You cannot lose three straight games to start a season in a situation where everyone expects you to do good. The Texans have talent; don't get me wrong. It's just that they don't have the mental capability to make the right plays at the right time in order to win games. It's not that the Texans are not getting blown out; it's just that they have to play better with time management.
Titans-Jaguars: After watching part of this game, I learned that this was probably one of the most entertaining 9-6 games in NFL history. The fact that the Titans and the Jaguars could not score a touchdown in this game was pretty funny. If you're a Jaguars fan, there is no need to be worried because you're defense played really well. It's just that the offense was a little shaky and were making plays that they regret making. If you're a Titans fan, you have to be hyped because your team is 2-1, both of your wins are against divisional opponents and the fact that in the last 3 games against Jacksonville that you're record is 3-0. It is starting to become true that Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans have Jacksonville's number.
49ers-Chiefs: The 49ers have a 1% chance of making the playoffs with Jimmy Garoppolo missing the rest of the season due to an ACL tear in his left knee. The Chiefs are 3-0 and the good thing about this team is that they are simply not afraid of anyone. Patrick Mahomes ll jerseys are selling quickly and you should get your hands on a jersey. We all talk about New Orleans's offense, Pittsburgh's offense, Minnesota's offense and Atlanta's offense. But, at the end of the day we have to realize that Kansas City has the BEST offense in the league.
Chargers-Rams: The Chargers had to play both the Rams and the Chiefs in the first three weeks of the NFL season. I am not going to criticize the Chargers for having a 1-2 record. What I am going to do is give the Rams a lot of credit for building a very good team. The Rams know that if they do not compete for the Super Bowl trophy this year, that this season was a complete failure for them. I have the Rams defense on my Fantasy team and they still gave me 15 Fantasy points; even though, their defense gave up 23 points against the Chargers. That shows how good the Rams defense is.
Cowboys-Seahawks: Seattle and Dallas are both teams that do not have enough star players on their team. If you asked the average human being, "Who plays for the Seattle Seahawks?" they might only answer Russell Wilson. That's not good because that shows that Seattle is not that good. Can we all agree that the "Legion of Boom'' is dead? What I did learn about this game is that this game should have not been considered, whatsoever in the slighest bit, to be called "America's Game of the Week."
Bears-Cardinals: The Bears are 2-1 in the first three games of the season and I do not care how they got to be 2-1. I feel that the whole Chicago Bears team feels happy and blessed that they have a star defensive force on their team in Khalil Mack. Heck, the Bears could have been 3-0 if they played a little bit harder in Week 1 against the Packers. I know that David Johnson scored a touchdown for the Cardinals in Week 3; but, I want to see rush for more than 31 yards. Like, Come on Man!!!! Johnson has not rushed for more than 48 yards in the first three games of the season. That is bad. You know what, I am going to stop talking about Arizona.
Patriots-Lions: When Rob Gronkowski plays bad, the whole Patriots team cannot find a way to win a game. I am not going to give the Lions much credit for winning this game. I think this game was more of a Patriots L than a Lions W. I have no idea why this game was on "Sunday Night Football". I could name at least 8 other games that were played earlier in the day that should have been played on "Sunday Night Football".
Steelers-Buccaneers: JuJu Smith-Schuster has had at least 100 receiving yards in the first 3 games of the season. Ryan Fitzpatrick has thrown for 400 yards in the first three games of the season. Ryan should be considered in the conversation "NFL MVP'' for this season. This win for the Steelers definitely makes the whole team realize that they got everything figured out and now all they have to do now is to win more games. Ever hear of the name Chris Godwin? Godwin is actually pretty good. He is a wide receiver for the Buccaneers. You should see if you are able to pick him up in your Fantasy league.
