Questions And Answers

What did you guys do right in the win over Trinity?

Luke Thomas: "I think we were kind of flat in the first half. I made a few mistakes and I just can’t do that as the QB. The 2nd half was much better. We took care of the ball and made some plays. Our defense really stepped up and gave us a chance to come back. The blocked field goal was huge."

You guys had to travel far to go to Trinity and play them at their home field. It must have taken you guys like 2 hours to get there. Do you like the fact of traveling far to play other teams?

LT: "I don’t know if we LIKE it; but we take it as a challenge. All of our road games are at least an hour and a half away. Trinity was more like 2 hours. I think it’s worse for our JV guys. They have to travel just as far because every team we play is far away. And they have to play at 10:00 AM on Saturday mornings after we get home at midnight on Friday night."

As of now you guys seem to be out of the playoff picture. What does your team need to do get back into the picture and find a way to get into the playoffs?

LT: "I think if we win our last 2 section games we’ll make the playoffs. We can’t think about that though. We have to focus on getting better each game and only worry about who we’re playing this week."

You play two positions in football in Quarterback and Free Safety. What is it like playing two positions?

LT: "I’ve actually been playing CB more than S this year. Most of our guys play both ways. I like playing defense because I get to hit the other guys instead of being the one that gets hit all the time."

Name me one song that can get you hyped before a football game?

LT: "Karate, by Wiz Khalifa."

Would you rather have the newest iPhone or the newest Samsung phone?

LT: "The newest iPhone."

Would you rather have the newest Playstation console or the newest Xbox console?

LT: "The newest Xbox console."

Say you were going to start writing down a "Bucket List". What would be the first thing you would write down on that list?

LT: "Go to the Final Four."

What is something that people would be surprised to know about you?

LT: "I throw and write right-handed; but, I bat and golf left- handed."
