Your team has not lost a game yet. Your team's hardest game of the whole season so far was against Our Lady of Sacred Heart and you beat them by 15 points. Tell me why your team has been doing so well lately.
Marcus Barnes: "We have been doing good because we have united together as a team. We have a great defense and a punishing offense that can score on demand. We know we have something to defend."
Before preseason even started, what did you think the goal for this team was?
MB: "To dominate the league we are in and show that we are even just as affective as last year."
Your team's star defensive end from last season, Anthony Johnson, moved out of Jeannette during the Summer and some people from the media had concerns with the team due to Johnson leaving. Tell me how well your team can handle adversity.
MB: "We can adjust just as fine as if he was here. Yes he is a great player; but, we have many more ready to step up."
What do you like most about representing your school, Jeannette, when you get on the football field?
MB: "The fans pack the stadium every Friday and our name holds a lot of weight. It makes teams nervous to play us because of our background."
Who is the toughest defensive player that you ever had to face against?
MB: "Not one single player; but, I feel Imani gave us the most competitive stand. I also think Clairton will do the same."
Who is the toughest wide receiver or tight end that you ever had to face against.
MB: "We haven’t had a problem defending the pass this year; but, I will have to say Andrew Schnarre (Our Lady of the Sacred Heart)."
If I ever walk into Jeannette High School, what do you recommend should be the first room or part of the school that I should visit first?
MB: "I would have to say our trophy case; so, you can just see our tradition. In addition, the art room because it shows how much talent is actually in this small school."
What is your go to restaurant to eat at?
MB: "Moe's"
If you ever go to a movie theater to watch a movie, what movie theater food would you eat when you watch the movie?
MB: "I would eat butter popcorn. The original."
What is something that people would be surprised to know about you?
MB: "I actually don’t talk about football too much. My life is way more than sports. I also care about my grades and want to have the highest GPA as possible."
