Jaden Nelson is a senior in high school and plays for the Montour Boys basketball team. On December 13th 2018, Nelson announced on his Twitter page that he was continue to his academic and basketball career at Seton Hill University. Seton Hill University is locacted in Greensburg, Pennsylvania and their basketball team is categorized as NCAA Division 2. Seton Hill's current Boys basketball team has no players that played high school basketball in the WPIAL.

Nelson made his decision at a time where he is playing some very good basketball. He scored 21 points against Mount Lebanon High School on December 8th 2018 and this past Friday night, he scored 27 points against West Mifflin. Nelson and the rest of the Spartans will play their first home game of the season against the Trinity Hillers on Tuesday. Don't be surprised if Nelson balls out against Trinity. In his freshman and sophomore year of high school, he played high school basketball for the Trinity Hillers before he moved to Montour in his junior year.

The Trinity Hillers Boys basketball team was good last year as they were led by Joey Koroly (who now attends and plays football at Washington & Jefferson University). Imagine if Nelson was on that team last year. I think they would have had a better record if Nelson was on the team.

Nelson is not the only Montour basketball star that committed to play basketball at Seton Hill University. Senior Courtney Tomas, a high school basketball for the Montour Girls basketball team, announced on her Twitter page on November 1st 2018 that she has verbally committed to Seton Hill University. One of the players on the Seton Hill Girls Basketball team, Kennedi Stevenson, played high school basketball at Montour as she graduated from there in 2017.

Tomas has scored a total 65 points in the first three games of the season. Her team will play at Chartiers Valley tomorrow night.

Both Tomas and Nelson are trying to help their teams win WPIAL Championships and they will both help lead their teams to the "Promise Land".
