No matter which WPIAL sport you play, it is important to get those important big home wins. This week, The Colts had two big home section wins with beating Thomas Jefferson on Friday and South Fayette on Tuesday.

Chartiers Valley basketball players, Jared Goldstrom and Joe Pipilo, were able to score a lot of 3-pointers against Thomas Jefferson on Friday. Goldstrom scored 26 points and Pipilo scored 24 points in the game. The Chartiers Valley Student Section went totally berserk when Joe Pipilo dunked the basketball in the game.

The Chartiers Valley Student Section was also able to get into, Thomas Jefferson basketball player, Daniel Deabner's head on Friday. The kids in the student section said some things to him while he was playing that got Deabner mad. As a result, Deabner specifically told The Colts Student Section to "Shut The F*** Up". Deabner told them that just before he inbounded the basketball. If you did not know, Deabner is one of the star football players on the football team as he has gotten attention for the way he plays wide receiver and defensive back.

Another Thomas Jefferson football player that plays basketball is their quarterback Junior Shane Stump. Stump scored 14 points in the game and was able to make some nice passes to Deabner. Yeah, no matter if the sport is basketball or football, Stump is able to find a way to pass the ball to Deabner.

The big impact player for Thomas Jefferson in this game was Junior Isaac McNeil. McNeil scored 21 points against The Colts and was swishing 3-pointers. Every time he would make a 3-pointer, the basketball would go straight through the hoop and not hit the backboard or the rim before it went in.

Thomas Jefferson's next game is against Uniontown in "The Snowball Tournament" at Southern Garrett High School in Oakland. Maryland. The Jaguars need to step up their game as their section record is 0-3 and their overall record is only 3-4.

Chartiers Valley's next game is against North Hills in "The Hampton Tournament" at Hampton High School. The Colts are looking hot under new coach Brandon Sensor. The students at CV are already calling Sensor "The GOAT" because if his ability to turn this team around. Last season, The Colts only had 4 section wins with an overall section record of 4-8. This season, in The Colts first three section games, they have won all three to have a 3-0 section record. The Colts will be trying to get back to the playoffs after not making it during last season.

But, for now, both teams will enjoy their holiday break with their friends and family and get some time to rest their bodies before they have to get on the court again.
