Chartiers Valley @ Montour 2-5-19 Preview

Tomorrow, TRIB LIVE HSSN announcers, Ed Troup and Mike Azadian will have the call on the Chartiers Valley and Montour Boys varsity basketball game. You can listen to the game on the TRIB LIVE HSSN.

Don't be surprised if this game is really good to watch and if this game is determined in the final seconds. You will see both of these teams in the WPIAL 5A Boys basketball playoffs, later in the month. Chartiers Valley and Montour are rivals in a lot of sports and basketball is one of them. This game is going to feel like a playoff game, which is what both of these teams are expecting.

The last time these two teams met was on January 11th 2019 when Montour went to Chartiers Valley's home court and won by a score of 57-49. It was a big win for Montour as ever since that win, they had won 6 of the last 7 games. That game was arguably the worst loss of the season for the Colts as the Spartans decided to have their way over the Colts in the fourth quarter.

Montour's last two games of the regular season are going to be a challenge since they have to play two big time section opponents in Chartiers Valley (10-2 in Section and 15-3 overall) and they have to go on the road on Friday and play Moon (11-1 in Section and 19-1 overall).

For Chartiers Valley, after the Montour game tomorrow, they will play their final regular season home game against West Allegheny and then they will go on the road to play Mt. Lebanon on Monday February 11th 2019.

Montour players, Jaden Nelson and Alex Boyden have helped Montour win six straight games while Chartiers Valley players, Jared Goldstrom and Joe Pipilo have helped the Colts get back into the playoffs, this year, after nt making it last season. Just on Friday, the Colts went on the road to Moon Area and the Colts beat them 69-66 in double overtime. With that win for the Colts, the Tigers lost their first game of the season.

For Chartiers Valley, they will go into tomorrow knowing that have already played in Montour's high school gym, this season, as they defeated Sewickley Academy 55-39 in the PBC Hall of Fame Classic on Saturday January 26th 2019.

Chartiers Valley is looking for revenge tomorrow while Montour looks to give CV another loss. It's going to be a good game to watch. Expect every single player on the court for both teams to make an impact while it's on offense or defense.
