Cameron Goble is a student athlete at Moon Area High School; he is considered one of the best baseball players at Moon. He will be a senior in the fall.

Goble has gotten a lot of attention lately. On Monday July 29th, 2019, he tweeted on his Twitter page that he is committed to play NCAA Division 1 Men's baseball at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Goble has played in the WPIAL baseball playoffs at Moon in his freshman year (2017) and sophomore year (2018). This past season, 2019, Moon did not make the WPIAL baseball playoffs. There is no doubt that Goble wants to get back to the WPIAL baseball playoffs and help the team win a WPIAL championship in his senior year, 2020. Goble's primary position, in baseball, is a pitcher while his secondary position is a third baseman. According to Prep Baseball Report, Goble can throw a fastball up to 88 miles per hour. That's pretty good!

Goble's father, Todd, is currently the head coach of Moon Area's baseball team. Before Todd got the head coaching job at Moon, he was the head baseball coach at Quaker Valley (2013-2015).

Goble will continue to be the star baseball star player in 2020 for Moon. What you might not know about Goble is that he is already a PIAA champion, but not in baseball. Goble is also on the Varsity Boys basketball team at Moon as he was on their PIAA 5A championship team, this past season. Goble played some good minutes on the team; but he was not a starter for the team last season. He was not on the Varsity Boys basketball roster in his freshman year (2016-17); but, finally made it on the Varsity roster in his sophomore year (2017-18). It's too bad that Goble was not on the Varsity basketball team in his freshman year. If he was on the roster, during his freshman year, he would have been a WPIAL champ because Moon Area defeated Hampton in the WPIAL 5A Boys basketball championship game by a score of 69-62.

This past season, it was hard for Goble to get attention on the Boys basketball team at Moon because Donovan Johnson, Connor Ryan, Taru Jones, Austin Ryan, and Jioni Smith all helped take control of the team. Even though Goble does not get the media attention he does in basketball, unlike baseball, he has a state championship ring that he can brag about for the rest of his life. Goble can start for the basketball team next season, and we will see if he can lead the team to a WPIAL and PIAA championship.

Cameron Goble is an athlete, that attends Moon Area High School, that you all know about now.
