As we enter Week 4 of the 2019 WPIAL football season, here are some games that will be played this upcoming Friday, that you should try to attend.

6A

Mt. Lebanon @ North Allegheny: Not much of the media think that Mt. Lebanon or North Allegheny are going to win in WPIAL 6A. However, these teams want to prove to everyone that they are the team that you should pay attention too. Both of these teams have a lot of players on their depth chart that can make big plays.

Norwin @ Pine-Richland: Even if you think this game is not worth going because of the overall talent Pine-Richland has, this would be a good game to scout two good quarterbacks in Jack Salopek (Norwin), and Cole Spencer (Pine-Richland). Salopek verbally committed to Western Michigan to play college football while Spencer is going to have a lot of college football offers in the future.

5A

Upper St. Clair @ West Allegheny: Bob Palko does not coach for West Allegheny anymore. Jim Render does not coach for Upper St. Clair anymore. It will be the first time, in a long while, that the Panthers and the Indians will face each other without those two G.O.A.T.'s.

Chartiers Valley @ Moon Area: Moon is a team that everyone is sleeping on in 5A. They can be really good if they keep playing at the level they are playing at. This is a game that they must win.

Woodland Hills @ Baldwin: Josh Rawlings and Dorien Ford are two superstars that will be featured in this game. At least one of these two teams will have a section win by the end of this game. Yeah, both teams are winless in their section.

4A

Montour @ Blackhawk: Both of these teams are in the middle of their section. Perhaps at the end of the season, this game could be an eventual tie breaker in deciding which of these two teams will make the playoffs. I have this gut feeling that between both of these two teams, one of them is going to make the playoffs in 4A and the other team is going to miss out.

3A

Derry Area @ North Catholic: Derry has a respectable 3-1 overall record while North Catholic has a 2-1 overall record. I expect a big offensive game between both teams. Derry will continue to try to get back to Heinz in November while North Catholic will try to recover after losing to Central Valley on September 13th, 2019.

Mt. Pleasant @ Deer Lakes: Both of these teams have the talent to make it to the WPIAL 3A playoffs. Expect some big time plays to be made in this game.

Beaver Falls @ Aliquippa: Both of these teams have a history when they play sports against each other. Expect some rowdy fans to attend this game.

Keystone Oaks @ Central Valley: This could be a game where Central Valley football players can show everybody why they should be recruited to college football teams. Logan Shrubb versus Ameer Dudley could be an interesting quarterback battle.

2A

Apollo-Ridge @ Avonworth: Both of these teams have an overall record of 4-0. Yeah, one of these teams will take their first loss on Friday. It is going to be a good game.

Serra Catholic @ Carlynton: Even though these schools are far away from each other, and there is no rivalry, I feel that this game is going to come down to the final drive of the game.

1A

Jeannette @ Springdale: Both teams have a 4-0 overall record. Yeah, one of these teams will take their first loss on Friday.

West Greene @ Monessen: I recommend you watch West Greene running back, Benjamin Jackson, play in person.

Non-Conference

Bethel Park @ Central Catholic: University of North Carolina recruit, AJ Beatty, is going to play against his hometown team in Bethel Park. Oh, you should definitely go to this game.

California @ Washington: Both of these schools are both known as "football schools" in Washington County. This season, California Area basketball star, Malik Ramsey, leads his team in receptions while Zahmere Robinson leads Washington in both receiving yards and rushing yards.

North Hills @ Peters Township: Both teams are undefeated. I would not be surprised if this matchup could be a preview of the WPIAL 5A championship game that will be played at Norwin in November. For North Hills, Curtis Foskey, Ron Novosedliak, and Dylan Pawling are some of the star players for the team. For Peters Township, Josh Casilli, Ryan Magiske, and Logan Pfeuffer are some of the star players on the team. This will be a good game. Not going to lie, if I had to choose any of the WPIAL football games to go to on Friday, I would choose this game.
