This past Friday, your team whooped Taylor Allderdice. What was going right for you and your team?

Malachi Quarles: "We got off to a slow start offensively; but we started to execute our plays. Defensively, we played fast and aggressive all game. The D-line was winning at the line of scrimmage, and our secondary was playing good defense. We played good football on all three sides and executed."

Your team has started off the season with a 5-0 record. So far this season, what do you think your team has done right to start off hot?

MQ: "We played as a team, encouraged each other and worked hard everyday to get better. We bring each other up, and act as a family on and off the field."

Without giving away any secrets, how will you beat Steubenville on Friday?

MQ: "We will watch film and study their team. We will figure out their weaknesses and use those to our advantage."

Do you feel your team is the team to beat in the City League?

MQ: "Yes, because we have the most wins in and out of the city at the moment. We’re dominating right now and we’re continuing to get better."

To you, what is fun about playing football?

MQ: "Building up a good family with the team, going out and tackling people, hitting, scoring points, celebrating, and meeting new people is what makes football fun."

With Autumn just starting, tell me what your favorite thing about fall is?

MQ: "My favorite thing about fall is the football season, playing and watching NFL games. Also. going to Kennywood’s Fright Night is fun."

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?

MQ: "Hawaii because it is a nice place to chill and have a good time."

Which NFL team do you think has the coolest jerseys?

MQ: "I would say the Seahawks color rush jerseys."

Tell me something that people would be surprised to know about you.

MQ: "I was born in Baltimore, Maryland."
