Random High School Alumni Fun Facts


Redskins quarterback, Alex Smith, and former NFL running back, Reggie Bush are both being interviewed by a news reporter.

- Redskins quarterback, Alex Smith, and former NFL running back, Reggie Bush, were on the same high school football team. They both attended Helix High School, located in California. Smith graduated from Helix in 2002 while Bush graduated from Helix in 2003.

- Former NFL cornerback, Adam "Pacman" Jones and Carolina Panthers quarterback, Cam Newton both graduated from the same high school, West Lake High School, located in Georgia. Jones graduated from West Lake in 2002 while Newton graduated from the school in 2007.

- Former Lincoln Park Boys basketball player, Keeno Holmes, now plays college basketball at the NCAA Division 3 level at Allegheny College, located in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Keeno's biological father is LaVar Arrington. LaVar played in the NFL as a linebacker for seven years (2000-07). This year, he started working as a football analyst on FS1 on the "Speak For Yourself", a show that I enjoy watching.

- Current Chiefs quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, and Chargers wide receiver, Dylan Cantrell played high school football and college football together. They both graduated from the same high school, Whitehouse High School, located in Texas. Mahomes graduated from Whitehouse in 2014 while Cantrell graduated from the school in 2013. They also both played college football at Texas Tech from 2013-2015. They have a very interesting relationship that not that many people know about.

- Saints wide receiver, Michael Thomas and Brooklyn Nets basketball player, Spencer Dinwiddie, both graduated from the same high school, William Howard Taft High School, located in California. Even though, Thomas is a month older than Dinwiddie, they graduated from William Howard Taft in different years, Dinwiddie graduated from the school in 2011 while Thomas graduated in 2012. Other famous people like Malcolm Smith (Super Bowl 48 MVP), Lisa Kudrow (TV star on Friends), Ice Cube, Wilmer Valderrama, Jeff Fisher (NFL coach), Eazy-E (rapper), and Jordan Farmar (former NBA player) all graduated from William Taft High School as well.

- Carolina Panthers running back, Christian McCaffrey, played on the same high school football team as Jack Del Rio son, Luke Del Rio. They both graduated from Valor Christian High School, located in Colorado. Luke graduated from the school in 2013 while Christian graduated in 2014. Even though, Luke only played football at Valor Christian for his senior year of high school, he could still say that he played one year of high school football with Christian McCaffrey. Luke would later play quarterback at the University of Florida. However, he is not in the NFL.

- Lamar Jackson threw for 999 yards in his senior year of high school at Boynton Beach Community High School. The man was only one passing yard shy of 1,000 yards.

- Barry Bonds (One of MLB's Greatest players), New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady, and Lynn Swann (Legendary Steelers Wide Receiver) all graduated from the same high school called, Junípero Serra High School, located in California. Who would have thought that three G.O.A.T.'s all graduated from the same high school? If I ever grow up to have kids, I would move to California and have them attend Junípero Serra so they can be great athletes. I am laughing out loud.

- The high school that Bronny James is attending, Sierra Canyon High School, located in California, is the same high school that Sacramento Kings basketball player, Marvin Bagley lll, graduated from. Kylie Jenner, Kendall Jenner, and Willow Smith all graduated from Sierra Canyon as well.

- NFL players, Teddy Bridgewater (Saints), Amari Cooper (Cowboys), Eli Rogers, and Artie Burns (Steelers) played on the same high school football team at Miami Northwestern Senior High School. That school has produced a lot of NFL players as a total of 27 players have graduated from that high school and have made it to play in the NFL.That is simply amazing.

- Geno Smith and Stedman Bailey both played on the same college football team at the University of West Virginia. Little did I know that they both played on the same high school football team as well.

- Former NFL players, DeMarcus Ware and Osi Umenyiora both played football at the same high school called Auburn High School, located in Alabama. Yes, they were friends as well.

- One of the best kickoff returners in NFL history in Josh Cribbs and one of the most energetic tight ends in NFL history in Vernon Davis both played on the same high school football team at Dunbar High School, located in Washington D.C. Vernon's younger brother, Vontae, and Arrelious Benn also graduated from Dunbar High.

- Eagles wide receiver, DeSean Jackson, and Packers tight end, Marcedes Lewis both played on the same high school football team at Long Beach Polytechnic High School, located in California. Steelers wide receiver, Juju Smith-Schuster, and MLB players Tony Gwynn and Chase Utley graduated from Long beach Polytechnic as well.

- Stephon Gilmore (Patriots CB) and Jadeveon Clowney (Seahawks DE) played on the same high school football team at South Pointe High School, located in South Carolina.

- Former NFL wide receiver, Greg Jennings, and former NFL running back, Jerome Harrison played on the same high school football team at Kalamazoo (MI) Central, located in Michigan.

- Brooklyn Net, Kyrie Irving, and Charlotte Hornet, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist both played on the same high school basketball team at St. Patrick High School, located in New Jersey, Irving graduated from the school in 2010 while Kidd-Gilchrist graduated in 2011.

- Antonio Brown and Texans running back, Duke Johnson Jr. both graduated from Miami Norland, located in Florida. It's too bad these two didn't have the opportunity to play with each other in high school.

- Hall of Fame NFL quarterback, Dan Fouts, and Los Angeles Rams quarterback, Jared Goff both graduated from Marin Catholic High School, located in California.

- Former NFL wide receiver, Devin Aromashodu, and Indianapolis Colts wide receiver both graduated from Miami Springs High School, located in Miami, Florida.

- Jason Taylor, Steve Breaston, Lousaka Polite, Ryan Mundy, Shawntae Spencer, Rob Gronkowski, Darrin Walls, and Quinton Jefferson all played high school football at Woodland Hills High School, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Woodland Hills has produced over 100 NCAA Division 1 football recruits.

- NFL players Aaron Donald (Rams DE), Treyvon Hester (Redskins DE) graduated from Penn Hills High School, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Former NFL players, Barry Church and Bill Fralic, legendary basketball coach, George Karl, and reality TV star, Abby Lee Miller graduated from Penn Hills as well.
