The Scoop
Ameer Dudley is considered one of the most productive and most talked about quarterbacks in the WPIAL headed into this season. Some people compare him to Lamar Jackson because of his speed, arm strength, and height. Others compare him to Patrick Mahomes. Last season, Ameer's Warriors won the WPIAL Class 3A title as they defeated Aliquippa by a score of 13-12. That win is a big reason why many people think they'll repeat as WPIAL 3A champions going into the upcoming season. After, the Warriors lost in the PIAA 3A championship game last season to Wyoming Area, their only goal is to win a PIAA title. That is all on Ameer's mind. Also, last season, as a junior he threw for 1,938 yards, rushed for 555 yards, and scored 33 touchdowns (23 passing touchdowns) as he posted a 13-2 record.
College Talk
Ameer, a highly Division I recruit, created his list of 'Top 9' schools which include Albany, Dartmouth, Harvard, Central Michigan, Army, Lehigh, Colgate, Bethune-Cookman, and Duquesne. There is no projected timetable for when he will make his decision.
