Once again, Fox Chapel continues to stay undefeated on the season with a 55-51 win against section opponent Hempfield. The Foxes are now 10-0 on the season as they continue to prove to people that they are legit.

Luke Cochran continues to lead the Highlands Boys basketball teams to wins as he scored 24 points in a 63-49 over section opponent Freeport. Cochran scored his 1,000th career point in this game. Highlands improves to 9-1 on the season.

Quaker Valley continues to own New Castle in the regular season as the Quakers defeated the Red Hurricanes by a score of 72-61. Adou Thiero scored 30 points for the Quakers. Sheldon Cox put up 18 points while Michael Wells scored 16 points for the Red Hurricanes. If these two teams see each other in the WPIAL 4A Boys basketball championship game this season, then we'll see which team shows up then. Quaker Valley improves their section record to 3-0 while New Castle now has a section record of 1-2.

Uniontown defeated section opponent by a score of 81-54. Most people thought this game was going to be close especially since of how well Belle Vernon has been playing lately. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette writer, Brad Everett, probably expected to see a competitive game, but he didn't. Ray Robinson, Billy DeShields, and Isiah Melvin all scored 17 points for Uniontown. Star football player, Devon Whitlock, scored 11 points for Belle Vernon.

After missing some games due to an ankle injury, Ethan Morton returned tonight for Butler as he scored 22 points and led the Golden Tornados to a 61-50 win. Also, Mattix Clement scored 15 points for Butler as all 15 points were from three-point range. Butler improves their section record to 2-0.

Bethel Park's duo of Ryan Meis and Tommy DiRienzo continue to play well. Meis scored 26 points and DiRienzo scored 18 points for the Blackhawks in a 70-60 win over Peters Township. Bethel Park remains undefeated in section play.

Pine-Richland defeats North Allegheny 81-60. The Rams win this game as the rivalry between these two schools continue to intensify. Rams improve their overall record to 8-2 and their section record to 2-0.

Upper St. Clair's overall record is 10-1 after defeating Baldwin by a score of 97-56. This Panthers team is lowkey roaring as they are trying to make a statement in 6A.

Penn-Trafford loses their second straight game by losing to Latrobe by a score of 63-41.

South Fayette won a thrilling game against West Allegheny by a score of 71-70.

Trinity continues to stay on top of their section with a 80-55 win over Moon. The Hillers improve their section record to 4-0 and their overall record to 8-2.

Franklin Regional lost their fourth straight game tonight by losing to Plum by a score of 53-50. The Panthers are now 3-8 on the season. So last season, the Panthers lost in the first round of the PIAA 5A Playoffs to Lower Dauphin by a score of 53-46. After that loss, their season ended and their overall record to end the season was 17-8. They have already matched last season's total losses. The Panthers still have ten more games to play on the season and they might be on the verge of missing the WPIAL playoffs. Franklin had nine seniors on the team last year and they have only three seniors this season. Someone new is going to have to be the leader for this Panthers team. Where is Adam Rudzinski and Nick Leopold when you need to them?

Rodney Gallagher's Laurel Highlands lost to Gateway by a score of 56-53. Even though Gateway's overall record is 4-5, their section record is 2-1 as this win was low-key so nice for Gateway. West Mifflin football player and Pitt recruit, Nahki Johnson, was in attendance for this game.

Central Valley tops Beaver by a score of 66-39. The Warriors overall record is 5-3 as Isiah Warfield is really helping the team to wins.

East Allegheny defeats Steel Valley by a score of 69-68 as East Allegheny's section record is now 3-0. Duquesne football player, Todd Hill, was in attendance for this game. Hill was a former football player at Steel Valley (2015-18).

South Allegheny's 59-45 win over Valley helps the Gladiators stay on top their section, WPIAL 3A Section 3 with a record of 4-0.

I really thought Serra Catholic would have a tough time winning games without Jimmy Moon, but they continue to prove me wrong. They defeated California 71-63 as their section record is now 4-0.

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart and Brentwood continue to stay undefeated as they both won their games today. The Chargers defeated Laurel by a score of 68-61 and the Spartans defeated Chartiers-Houston by a score of 64-56.
