CTA's Day 5 Of Quarantine With North Catholic's Isaiah Jackson

Check out Isaiah Jackson: Isaiah plays both basketball and football at North Catholic. He is currently a junior this school year. Back on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2020, Isaiah scored 5 points as his Trojans defeated Lincoln Park in the WPIAL 3A Boys basketball championship game by a score of 65-56. In football, he was named 1st Team All-Conference DB in 2019 . Isaiah's dad played football in high school in Roxbourgh High School in Philadelphia.

Questions & Answers:


What have you been doing during this COVID-19 crisis?

Isaiah Jackson: "I’ve done a lot of footwork and speed drills along with school work."


What's it like being a multi-sport athlete?

IJ: "It’s definitely tiring because you don’t get any breaks from July - March , but playing with your best friends all the time makes it really enjoyable."


How hype was your basketball team after you won the WPIAL 3A Boys basketball championship game back in late February?

IJ: "We were extremely excited; it was definitely one of the top moments of our high school careers."


You seem to be making noise in football and basketball at North Catholic. If you did not attend North Catholic, which high school would you attend? You could have made a big impact at the school district that you live in?

IJ: "I would have attended Highlands High School. I definitely could have helped their teams out but they have so really talented athletes there."


What would you say are the benefits of attending a private school such as the school you attend, North Catholic?

IJ: "It prepares for college and tough courses. And, it really shows."


If you could play any celebrity in a game of NBA 2K or Madden, who would you want to play against?

IJ: "I would definitely want to give Devin Booker a run for his money on NBA 2K. He won the 2K Tournament on ESPN, but I think I could beat him."


What is one of your favorite Easter memories that you have?

IJ: "Every year we do an Easter egg hunt and there is an golden egg with money in it and I always find it first."


Tell me that something that people would be surprised to know about you.

IJ: "Last Season was my first year of football."
