CTA's Day 8 of Quarantine With Peters Township's Logan Pfeuffer

Check out Logan Pfeuffer: Logan Pfeuffer is currently a junior at Peters Township High School. He has been the starting quarterback for Peters for the past two years as he is looking forward to his senior year of football next school year. Logan was ranked eighth in the WPIAL in passing yards last season in 2019 with 2,368. In Logan's career as a starter, he has thrown 48 touchdowns and passed for 4,430 yards while posting a record of 22-5. Five of Logan's wins, in his career, were in the WPIAL football playoffs against Penn-Trafford (twice), Armstrong, Moon, and Mars.
Questions & Answers:
What have you been doing during this COVID-19 crisis?
Logan Pfeuffer: "I’ve been working out and doing my school work. I’ve also been contacting coaches."
For football, how has the recruiting process been for you?
LP: "It’s been pretty good. I’ve been talking to some coaches, still no offers yet."
The players on your football team from the Class of 2021 are pretty recognizable. Your teammates, Donovan McMillon, Corban Hondru, who committed to Miami (OH), are highly recruited by Division 1 schools. Then, there is you as people have considered you as one of the best quarterbacks in the WPIAL in the Class of 2021. What do you think this says about the football players from your graduating class on your team?
LP: "This just shows all the hard work that we put in is paying off. We’ve all been playing with each other since we were 6 or 7 years old. So, it’s awesome seeing all of the work we put in pay off."
After losing to Gateway in the WPIAL 5A football championship game last season, what did your team learn from that experience?
LP: "We learned that we could hang with any team in the WPIAL."
As a quarterback, what are some of the things that you do to try to be better?
LP: "I’ve been working on my speed and improving my footwork in the pocket. I’ve also been watching film to study defenses for this upcoming year".
What's it like playing for head coach TJ Plack?
LP: "It’s awesome. When I got to the high school he preached about changing the culture and that’s exactly what happened. This team really turned into a family."
When it comes to sports, who would you say is Peters Township's biggest rivalry? LP: "I would say either Bethel Park or USC."
If you had to eat dinner with one person in the world, who would you choose?
LP: "Joe Burrow [former Louisiana State University Quarterback]
What is something that people would be surprised to know about you?
LP: "I have four other siblings and I’m the middle child."
