More WPIAL and City League Recruiting News (7/18/20-7/24/20)

The WPIAL and City League recruiting continues to go on and with that being said, let's take a look at some of the recruiting offers and announcements that have gone on throughout Western Pennsylvania in this past week.


1. Donovan McMillon's Commitment to Florida

  • Peters Township Safety Donovan McMillon announced on July 18, 2020 that he was going to continue his academic and athletic career at the University of Florida. McMillon decided to attend Florida over Oregon, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma and Texas A&M.

2. Elliot Donald's commitment to Pittsburgh

  • Central Catholic Defensive Tackle Elliot Donald announced on July 24, 2020, that he was going to take his talents to the University of Pittsburgh. Donald is considered one of the best linemen in the WPIAL and chose Pittsburgh over Penn State, Louisiana State, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, West Virginia, Ohio State, and Michigan. His uncle Aaron, yes the Aaron Donald, played college football at Pittsburgh from 2010-13.

3. Peters Township's Quarterback is Blossoming

  • This past week, Peters Township Quarterback Logan Pfeuffer received offers from Bethany College and Grove City College. Pfeuffer received the offer from Grove City on July 18 and he received the offer from Bethany on July 19. Pfeuffer also has offers from Westminster College, Hamline University, Lake Erie College, Wooster, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Baldwin Wallace and Catholic University.

4. Ryan O' Hair Continues to "Trust the Process"

  • The South Fayette Offensive Tackle received an offer from Mercyhurst on July 24. The star tackle also has offers from Ohio Dominican, Lake Erie College, Notre Dame College and Fairmont State.

5. Thomas Jefferson's Ian Hansen is Rolling

  • The PIAA football champion Ian Hansen received offers from the University of Mount Union and Westminster College on July 23. Hansen also has an offer from Washington & Jefferson College.

6. Shane Kemper is still a Dawg

  • Burgettstown's Shane Kemper received a football offer from Westminster College on July 23. He then received another offer the next day on July 24 from Bethany College. Kemper also has an offer from the University of Mount Union.

7. Moon's Dawson Snyder Receives His First Offer

  • Dawson Snyder can do it all for Moon's football team. He plays wide receiver, cornerback, and is even a special teams returner. He was a big reason why Moon's football team was able to get back to the WPIAL football playoffs in 2019 and he received his first college football offer from Westminster College on July 23.

8. Dayton Is Making Moves

  • This past week Charley Rossi (South Fayette), Jimmy Royal (Seneca Valley), Nick Maher (North Catholic), Eli Jochem (Pine-Richland), and Josh Miller (Seneca Valley) all received offers from the University of Dayton.

9. Eli Jochem Got Another offer

  • Besides the offer from Dayton this week, Eli Jochem also received an offer from Fordham this week. The Pine-Richland wide receiver recorded 71 receptions for 1,065 yards while scoring 14 touchdowns in 2019. He also has an offer from one of the top passing NCAA Division II schools in Slippery Rock University.

10. Eddy Tillman's First Division I offer.

  • Eddy "Crazy Legs" Tillman from Central Catholic received an offer from Division I school Valparaiso University on July 21. Tillman, who rushed for 2,047 yards and won a WPIAL football championship in 2019, also has offers from Notre Dame College, Seton Hill, Lake Erie, Mercyhurst, and Slippery Rock.

11. Two In One Day

  • Blackhawk's Josh Hathaway received two football offers in one day from Lebanon Valley College and Bethany College. Those were the first two offers that the Blackhawk football player has received.

12. Super Mario

  • Hempfield Area's running back/linebacker Mario Perkins received a football offer from Washington & Jefferson College on July 20.

13. Courtney will play on the court in College

  • On July 20, Trinity Girls basketball player Courtney Dahlquist announced that she will play college basketball at Campbell University which is a Division I school in North Carolina.

14. Turn me up Rashan!

  • Obama Academy football player Rashan Murray received an offer from Bethany College on July 20. The rising junior also has offers from Livingstone College, Arkansas Baptist College, Westminster College and Carthage College.

15. Nico Flati

  • West Allegheny's running back/linebacker Nico Flati received an offer from Mount Union on July 24. Flati also has an offer from Grove City College.

16. Emma is Cooking!

  • This week, Moon Area Girls basketball player Emma Theodorsson received offers from North Dakota and Western Michigan. She also has offers from Lafayette, Navy, Robert Morris and Youngstown State.

17. Hello, Shileak.

  • Beaver Falls running back Shileak Livingston rushed for over 1,000 yards in 2019. North Park University must have known that they because they offered Shileak on July 19.

18. What's up Kyle?

  • As a sophomore, Pine-Richland baseball player Kyle Lenhart helped the Rams win a WPIAL baseball championship in 2019. The rising senior announced on July 20 that he will continue his baseball and academic career at Florida Tech.

19. Brett Palmer

  • Brett Palmer announced on July 24 that he will play collegiate baseball at Lehigh University located in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
