Questions & Answers


What was your favorite high school memory up to this point?

Lauren Yuhas: My favorite high school memory up to this point would have to be sharing the basketball court with my older sister Ashleigh. The opportunity to play with a sibling at the high school level is rare, and is often taken for granted. I cherished my time with her.


Back in September you committed to Ohio University to continue your softball and academic career. What made you choose Ohio University and what do you plan on majoring?

LY: I chose Ohio University because I went to a camp there, and I fell in love with the campus and the coaching staff.


Who is your favorite softball player?

LY: Haley Cruse from Oregon


Favorite ride at Kennywood?

LY: The Black Widow


Coolest celebrity that you have ever met?

LY: My brother Shane Yuhas, he will be in an upcoming movie on Amazon Prime.


Say you win the lottery worth 100 million dollars. What is one of the first things that you would do with your winnings?

LY: I would take care of my family and closest friends, but first and foremost I would make sure my parents never have to work again.


Best movie or TV series you’ve seen lately?

LY: Ginny and Georgia on Netflix


Ok, who would play you in a TV or movie?

LY: Dakota Fanning


What do you think you will miss the most about high school?

LY: The relationships and bonds I have built over these past four years. I will also miss the camaraderie that I have had with each and every single one of my teams and teammates during my time at West Mifflin High School. I have memories that will last a lifetime, and I have made some unbreakable bonds that I will be forever thankful for.


What is something that people would be surprised to know about you?

LY: I come from a large family, I’m 1-of-6 children.
