Questions & Answers

Up to this point, what has been your favorite high school memory?

Jaden Davinsizer: Playing at the Cleveland Cavaliers arena (Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse) with my team during my sophomore year (Dec. 14, 2018, Seneca Valley defeated South Side Beaver 60-32). It was really just an experience I think none of us could ever forget!

Earlier in the school year you were named Homecoming Queen. Tell me, how did you feel after being crowned queen?

JD: I was really excited and surprised! It was one of the best memories I’ll have because everything was shut down before that. So, just to be able to have the homecoming game and still have a court was amazing!

Back in January, you decided to commit to Grove City College to continue your basketball and academic career. What made you choose Grove City?

JD: I chose Grove City because of their strong academic program, Christian faith, values, and successful basketball team.

During your junior and senior year, your girls head basketball coach was Dorothea Epps. Tell me what it was like playing with her.

JD: We had three different coaches in four years, so it was a bit of a challenge for the team with all of the changes. I think everyone was and is continuing to work through the new philosophies put in place.

Do you have a job right now?

JD: I work as a nanny in the summer, and I also help coach basketball for kids.

Your senior prom is will take place on Saturday. How excited are you for prom?

JD: I am really excited that we are actually having a prom. The only catch is that I am also playing in the Roundball Classic the same day, so I will be a little late to prom, but I will definitely be making it there!

This Summer, you will play on the "Lady Game Changers" team in the CJ2K League with other WPIAL & PIAA players. How excited are you to play in the league?

JD: I am very excited, and I look forward to having the chance to play with so many talented players! I also look forward to play with and against my former teammates from Drill For Skill AAU!

Throughout your whole high school career at Seneca Valley, what was your favorite class?

JD: Calculus

If you could go anywhere in the world to visit, where would you go?

JD: The Amalfi Coast because it’s gorgeous and I would love to tour Italy!

What do you think you will miss the most about high school?

JD: I will miss the excitement of high school and seeing everyone on a daily basis!

What is something that people would be surprised to know about you?

JD: I danced competitively for seven years, and I played cup soccer for Northern Steel.
